Michael Courtney Diesel Engineering Services Ltd. is Ireland’s leading independent diesel fuel injection specialist. Established in 1968 by the Courtney family and headquartered in Shercock, Co. Cavan, the business has grown through three generations, with Colin Courtney – grandson of founder Michael Courtney – now leading the company into a new era of innovation and performance.
Who We Are
For over five decades, Diesel Engineering Services has provided expert diagnosis, repair, and re-manufacturing of fuel injection systems for cars, vans, and commercial vehicles. From the earliest mechanical systems to the latest in electronic diesel control (EDC) technologies, we’ve stayed ahead of the curve through continuous investment in equipment, training, and expertise.
Our workshop is the only one in the Republic of Ireland authorised to perform manufacturer-approved repairs on Bosch, Continental, Delphi, Denso, and Zexel systems – a mark of trust and technical excellence in our field.
Our History
Founded in 1968, Diesel Engineering Services quickly earned a reputation for quality and technical innovation. We were the first company in the UK and Ireland to offer testing and repairs on Bosch VP44, VP30/29, and Common Rail pumps, and in 2016 became fully authorised by Bosch to handle CP4 pump diagnostics and repairs.
In 1998, our commitment to quality was officially recognised with IS EN ISO 9002 accreditation, making us the first independent diesel engineering company in Ireland to achieve this standard.
